CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Christian education opportunities are available in a variety of formats for both adults and children of the parish.

Children’s Sunday School:  Classes are held at 9:30 in the Sunday school wing and are grouped by age.  Our program is based on the Godly Play© philosophy which helps students develops a personal belief in God, while cultivating a sense of reverence and ability to wonder about issues related to their faith.

Nursery:  Childcare for children under age two is provided during Sunday school and during the second service.  Parents may check out a pager so that they can be notified if parental care is required for their child.

Adult Sunday School:  Sessions are offered at 9:30 in various locations in the church. Topics vary from one session topic discussions to series discussions that may last several weeks in duration.  Adult Sunday school offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fellowship with other parishioners while learning about key faith related issues.  Facilitators range from the Rector or Assistant Rector to invited guest speakers.

Seasonal studies and Bible Study:  Seasonal programs are held during Lent and Advent. These programs typically include a potluck supper followed by program discussion.  Bible studies are arranged throughout the year based on interest.  In addition confirmation instruction is scheduled based on need/interest.

The Richard Risser Memorial Library:  The library plays host to wide array of books, audiotapes, videotapes and periodicals of a spiritual nature which are available for parishioners to check out.
