Ascension Episcopal Day School is a church oriented, Montessori influenced program which serves infants and toddlers from six weeks to two years of age. We are excited to announce that we will be opening a new preschool classroom for children between 2 and 3 years of age on September 7th, 2010. Our infant Lead Teacher, Ms. Taneka Washington, has a BA in Speech and Language Pathology and has taught for the past three years in the infant classroom at ODU’s Child Development Center. She has a calming and creative nature and loves spending time with the babies.
Our toddler Lead Teacher, Ms. Jenny Brown, has a BA in Early Childhood Education and has taught for over twenty years in some of the most well known preschools in the area. Her winning smile and fun attitude make the toddler classroom a warm and exciting place to be.
